How we Prepare your Young Child for Basketball Fun!

Image
We understand the potential reservations that you may have when thinking about signing up your young child for basketball classes. Our professional coaches are qualified to develop children from as young as three years of age. We firmly believe, the younger a child starts playing basketball, the more of an advantage they can have. Professional athletes generally all start at a very young age.   At Royal Basketball School, your little one will learn how to dribble, roll the basketball, learn proper body control, and proper balance. Basic athletic movements such as: Defensive sliding, running with high knees, and running backward will also be taught to your young child. Learning social skills is arguably the most beneficial skill your young child will acquire by taking classes at Royal Basketball School. We have found that children tend to pick up on the skills we teach them much faster when they are being taught in a group setting. The way in which we set-up classes will al...

Practice Makes Perfect

Image
Repetition, Repetition, Repetition. When it comes to the game of basketball, it is incredibly important that children realize practice makes perfect. Repetition is the ultimate key in perfecting any new skill. At Royal Basketball School, we believe that even if your child is only getting 1% better at a time when learning a new skill, they are doing a great job. Any form of progress should be celebrated, then built upon. If we fail, we get right back up, and give it another go! At Royal Basketball School, we understand that children develop and learn new skills at different paces. Our professional team of basketball coaches work with your child at their own individual pace. There is never any pressure to perform, we just want your child to get a little better each time we go on the court. 👇 https://youtu.be/vLT3A0a3hoQ Everything is Possible - Practice makes Perfect - Amazing People  [Inspirational Video] Give us a call, at (310) 744-5403 for more information. Age is not a Factor: Let's Ball!

Image
At Royal Basketball School, we believe there is so much more to developing your child's basketball skills than just going out on the court to shoot. We focus on the fundamentals of the game. The critical building blocks your child needs to become a solid overall basketball player. The younger a child begins working on their game, the faster they will develop into a well-rounded athlete.  Developing proper body movement, harnessing athleticism, perfecting hand eye coordination, enhancing  work ethic, and the promotion of a daily exercise routine, will all be taught to your child.  Our youngest age groups focus on: How to run, jump, slide your feet, skip, move dynamically with high knees, and jump on a single foot. Students also begin to learn how to control the basketball with their fingertips, roll the ball on the ground, hold the ball, dribble, pass and so much more!  Q: Does that mean my child will not learn how to shoot in the class designed for the youngest leve...
