Here at Royal Basketball School, we are always searching for ways to help your child develop their basketball skills off the court.   If you ever wanted to know how to shoot like Stephen Curry, here is how he does it. Physical Education Online Class Physical education teachers from all around the world have been assigning their students a particular TEDx Talk video on the importance of physical education. In a world that puts a lot of value on academics, we can forget that breaking a sweat is just as important as reading a book. Sound Body, Sound Mind The speaker from the video published July 9, 2019, is William E. Simon, Jr. Simon is co-founder of the UCLA Health, Sound Body Sound Mind program. First, he asks, “What is the only subject in school that promotes physical and emotional health, helps children learn better, and cultivates the character that they need to be productive adults?”. If you answered physical education, you’re correct. He goes on to say that, “If the student doesn’t understand the principles of health and fitness, they risk chronic disease and an early death”. Austin Knoblauch (2011) from the Los Angeles Times describes him as, “One of the greatest and most exciting players in NBA history." Baylor was a human highlight reel, who became a star basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers. It is also no secret that he was one of the sole reasons the Los Angeles Lakers (then Minneapolis Lakers), were able to stay in business. Bob Short, the owner of Minneapolis Lakers, is often quoted to say that their club could have gone bankrupt without Baylor.  Baylor now has a statue outside the Staples Center, where the Los Angeles Lakers play, to commemorate his achievements.  Read more about his basketball career here .

Dear Basketball Moms and Dads, We are counting the days when we can finally start practicing youth basketball at the gym once more. We received great responses from you guys so we know you’re all excited, how much more the kids.
