5 Secrets Of A Basketball Legend

With the Royal Annual Cup coming up, many kids are getting excited to get out on the court and play.  We always try to prepare our kids for the big game as it differs the typical game. Performing in front of a crowd of people always triggers excitement, which can be both a good and a bad thing for performance. We've come up with 5 things that will help anyone prep for a big game.

1. Get enough sleep

Typically, when people are anticipating a big even, they have trouble sleeping.  We recommend drinking herbal tea and a bubble bath to relax your mind and body. Try not to over think things and just go with the flow.

2. Focus on having fun - not winning

Everyone wants to win, that goes without saying; but it's important to remember that winning itsn't everything.  Always focus on having fun and remember why you started in the first place.

3. Set the right mood

A few days before the big game, you can watch an inspirational movie or start listening to 'pump up' songs to get in the right mood.

Here are a few examples of your traditional basketball pump up songs:
♫ Till I Collapse - Eminem
♫ Bring 'Em Out - T.I.
♫ Touch the Sky - Kanye West
♫ All I Do is Win - DJ Khaled feat. Ludacris
♫ Hit 'Em High - (O.S.T.) Space Jam
♫ Here Comes the Boom - Nelly
♫ Fireman - Lil Wayne
♫ Amazing - Kanye West
♫ Can't be Touched - Roy Jones Jr.
♫ Crazy Train - Ozzy Osbourne

4. Don't doubt yourself

Confidence is always a trait of any basketball legend. We believe knowing you've worked hard and  given your all can make a difference during the game. It's all about setting your mind right.

5. Learn from your mistakes

It's very possible that on THE day, many things can go wrong. But always remember: what are set-backs turn out to be valuables lessons that will launch you to the TOP. What's important is to never give up and to get something out of your mistakes.
