Benefits of playing Basketball for Kids

Image
Benefits of Playing Basketball: For Kids Basketball, is a phenomenal outdoor/indoor activity which allows children (and adults) to get exercise, play with friends, and learn teamwork. We believe, encouraging your child to play basketball at a young age will not only help him benefit from the virtues of a rigorous (also very fun) sport. Our school's goal is to have basketball function as a foundation for staying active later in life. On the bright side, basketball, does not require much equipment to purchase in order to start playing. If there is no basketball court nearby you, we don't think that should be a hinderance from yourself and your child to get involved with the game. One way to bring basketball to you, would be putting up a hoop in a large indoor area, or even better; you could put one up outdoors. A number of sports brands offer equipment like hoops, nets, and backboards that can be easily put up and disassembled after use. 8 Different Ways Basketball Will Improve...

Essentials: Your Child's First Basketball Class

Your child's first basketball class is coming, and if you still don't know what equipment will be needed...Don't worry, we have made a list of essentials that your child must have for that exciting first basketball experience.  1) Shoes: Wearing any kind of sport shoes will prevent ankle and foot injuries substantially during practice, and in game enivronments. They protect your child's feet, while they run and jump on a hard-court, which the game is played on.   2) Shorts: Moving while practicing and playing will be much easier with athletic-styled shorts. Something like the style pictured below, is ideal.   3 T-Shirt:  Wearing any regular t-shirt will also help with movement.  4.Socks: Socks that are too thin, or made of thin material, will rub at your child’s feet. The feeling can be uncomfortable. Socks that are too thick, will cause your child's feet to sweat, which is also uncomfortable.   We’d suggest athletic socks, as they are made for vigor...

How Much is Your Child Really Learning?  Your child is learning in a time like none other in recent history. Some students are learning remotely, only interacting with teachers and peers through a screen. Some are attending school just a few days a week, pivoting between distance and onsite learning daily. What is the best way to check on their emotional and mental well-being? A little detective work can be fruitful when trying to gauge your student’s emotional state. If remote learning, chances are they are set up in their bedroom or a quiet corner of the house to minimize distractions. Check in on them.
