How Basketball helps build Character from a young Age

How Basketball helps build Character from a young Age: Children 3-8 Years Old

1. Improvement of Aerobic Capacity:

Although playing basketball is good for all aspects of physical development, the biggest benefits should be long stature and improved aerobic capacity.  It is a distinct advantage to be jump high in the game of basketball. Building the capacity to learn basketball skills which include increased mobility, will lead to a child who will develop more athletically.

2. Enhancing Sensory Skills:

Studies have shown that many modern psychological or developmental disorders stem from problems with the person's ability to sense. When people play basketball, a variety of senses are in a state of high excitement to work together and coordinate. Basketball has thus become one of the best sensory training activities.

3. Improving Response Capacity:

Basketball is an open sports skill, which requires athletes to adapt to the ever-changing nature of court dynamics. Repetition of basketball-related drills, and in-game action, leads to a higher response capacity.

4. Building Determination:

Participating in practice and also playing in live games will help your child build a higher self-worth. When they score a basket, or make an assist, it is truly rewarding mentally and physically. Doing this over time will lead them to become a more driven human-being, we believe.

5. Improvement of observation capacity:

Playing basketball requires a large amount of discipline and attention to detail. A lot of things can be going on at once during a fast-paced game. Playing basketball improves observational skills and also enhances ones overall awareness.

6. Building Courage by Taking Risks:

Taking calculated risks are necessary in life. In basketball, one must constantly balance risk vs. reward.

7. Dare to Fail:

Participating in competitive sports will build one's ability to accept failure. To get better at anything, one must fail, so they can learn how to get better from their past loss. We will have many victories along the way, but our failures are important in building our overall character.

8. Perseverance:

When you miss a shot, or get the ball stolen, you try again! Practice truly does make perfect. We must learn from our losses!
